Trip to DC

06 Sep 2008

We just got back from Washington DC, and Ethan did a great job with his first airplane ride. We were worried that he would cry (we’ve all been on flights where babies won’t stop crying…) but it went really well. We went by the White House, to the WWII Memorial, to the Air and Space Museum, and the Museum of Natural History. It was a great trip, and Ethan was really good.

We stayed at the JW Marriott on Pennsylvania Ave, which is a great location. It’s within walking distance to a lot the memorials, which was great traveling with a new baby.

The weather was perfect – DC is such a beautiful place to be in the Fall. We couldn’t have asked for better weather, and there weren’t many crowds, even though it was Labor Day weekend.

Ethan had a hard time coming home – he was pretty fussy our first night home, but his ears may have been bothering him.

He’s such a fun baby – he’s talking a lot right now, and is almost starting to laugh. We need to go get a camcorder to remember all the cute things he’s doing now…
