i-tunes gripe

Wednesday, May 16th, 2007 |

Ok, so I have a gripe with i-tunes. Hopefully I’m just missing something…I’d be happy if someone was able to help me out here…but here’s what happened:

I was downloading a purchased Dierks Bentley song (The Long Road Home) when i-tunes crashed and shut down. I re-opened it, and noticed that the song wasn’t in my library, so I went to re-purchase it. It told me I had already bought it, so I went to store —> check for purchases. It said all songs purchased had been downloaded. In other words, because of i-tunes glitch or whatever happened, when it crashed, it charged me, but I didn’t get my song. It reminds me of putting my dollar in the vending machine and watching the soda or candy or whatever get stuck…you paid for it, but you don’t get it. Blargh.

What a great pic! Such poise, such beautiful, silky hair, gorgeous eyes, and ears you’d just love to nibble. Boy - what a rabbit! (oh - and you don’t look too bad either).

Ha, ha…

Anyway, if you want an alternative to I Tunes then try lovelyrecovery.com

Never known to crash (we’re too small!). Some great tunes. All free and no dodgy downloads. We’re just doing it to get this great music heard around the planet!

All the best with your website - great design.

Hi David,

Thanks for the compliments! Her name is Honey Bunny, and yes, her hair is very silky. :)

I’m excited to try lovelyrecovery - I’ll try it out and write a post. Thanks for your comments!

Try something like this: https://ituneschecker.dev.java.net/

It will check the consistency of your library. The songs is probably in your master index, but the file it’s pointing to is either corrupt or missing. If you can delete it from your master index and the file from your hard drive, it should clean things up enough to re-download it.

P.S. I don’t REALLY for reals hate California (well, maybe southern California). Northern California is one of my favorite places and SF and Sacramento are both really fun and interesting places. I just can’t say I like it on my blog because, well, I have a reputation of hating everything to uphold … or something.

Thanks, Sam! I’ll try that. :)
