Tom Cruise Wins An Award…For Being a Sexist Pig

Tom Cruise bugs me. I think he’s a very overrated actor, and a completely bizarre man as well. His rude comments about Brooke Shields and her use of antidepressants to treat her post-partum depression were rude, uncalled for, and completely wrong. That is not what I’m writing about here, though.
Tom Cruise won an Ernie Award (awards given to public figures that make completely bone-headed comments in public) for his statement about his fiance (and mother of his child, Suri). He stated, “I’ve got Katie tucked away so no one will get to us until my child is born … [Katie's] life from now on was going to be about being a mother. I’m not giving her the chance to turn into another Nicole.”
What’s scary about this is the fact that he’s not scared about sounding like a controlling monster torwards Katie Holmes and their daughter. He doesn’t care that Katie has an acting career - he’s controlling her actions and activities. On top of that, he throws a jab at his ex-wife, Nicole Kidman. (Nicole, by the way, has moved on to a much better man, Keith Urban)
Tom Cruise is a nut job, and every time he opens his mouth, that fact is verified. Poor young, clueless Katie. She doesn’t have a chance.
